Built from
the ground up.

An owner-led specialty trade contractor serving Western Washington with dependable excavation and site work.

01 Our story

A contractor you can reach.

PGH Excavating Inc. was founded on a simple observation: too many clients struggle to get straight answers from the people moving dirt on their property. Calls go unreturned, schedules slip and estimates balloon once the work begins.

We set out to be different. Based at 1891 Garrett Street in Enumclaw, we operate as a focused specialty trade contractor — excavation, grading, utilities, clearing, demolition and drainage — with leadership that stays personally involved and reachable on every job.

Our clients include homeowners preparing to build, custom builders who need a reliable site partner, developers bringing new neighborhoods to life and public agencies maintaining critical infrastructure. Whatever the size, the expectation is the same: the work is done right, safely, and when we said it would be.

02 A message from our President

“Your project is my reputation.”

Thank you for considering PGH Excavating Inc. I know that choosing a contractor to work on your land is a decision built on trust. Before you hand anyone the keys to your site, you deserve to know who they are and how they work.

I started this company because I believe excavation deserves the same care and craftsmanship as any other trade. The ground is where every project begins — if the foundation dig is off, if the drainage is wrong, if the compaction is poor, every trade after us pays the price. I take that responsibility seriously, and so does every person who works with me.

At PGH, our promise is straightforward. We will tell you the truth about your site, even when it's not what you hoped to hear. We will give you a clear price and stand behind it. We will keep you informed, keep our job sites clean and keep our people safe. And when we are finished, we will walk the site with you to make sure it's exactly what you expected.

Enumclaw is home. The communities we work in are the communities where our families live, and that keeps us accountable in a way no contract ever could. Whether you're building your first home or developing your next commercial property, I'd welcome the opportunity to earn your business.

03 What we stand for

Six standards on
every site

These aren't slogans on a wall. They are the expectations we hold ourselves to on every dig, trench and grade.

Safety First

Daily tailgate meetings, trench protection, locates called before every dig and equipment inspected each morning.

Precision

Grades checked with laser and survey control so pads, slopes and pipe runs match the plans.

Communication

One point of contact, regular updates and answers the same day you ask.

Stewardship

Erosion and sediment control, protected streams and trees, and responsible disposal of materials.

Reliability

We show up when scheduled and plan around weather so the next trades can start on time.

Capable Equipment

Well-maintained excavators, dozers, loaders, compactors and trucks matched to the job.
